Jane Austen was born in 1775 in Steventon, Hampshire.

  • She had a very close relationship with her family during her short and eventful life, expecially with her sister Cassandra.
  • She showed interest in literature at a very young age.
  • She died of Addison's desease in 1817 in Winchester
  • All her novels were published anonimously.

She was concern of the situation of the women in her age... • Jane Austen lived isolated from the literary world; she didn’t know any other author, and only a few of her readers knew her real name. I can’t think in any other author who might had lived like she did.
