Interview with Glen Templeton
Interview with Glen Templeton
by Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show
Christian Lamitschka: I’m Christian Lamitschka and today I present you Glen Templeton. Glen, welcome to the show.
Glen Templeton: Thank you very much for having me, Christian.
Christian Lamitschka: Glen, you are well known here in the US, but maybe some of the European Fans don’t know you, so can you please introduce yourself and the music you are playing to someone who never heard nor seen you before?
Glen Templeton: Yea, I’m Glen Templeton and I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, which is in the southeast part of the US. I was raised in an ordinary working class family; my mother worked in the coal-mines and my dad was a traveling musician. He kind of instilled the love of country music in me with a song he recorded in the early 70s or 80s called “California”. He had a little bit success with it. Our music is a style of music that comes from the roots, how I was brought up in that working class environment.
