Marcus goodloe biography

Marcus “Goodie” Goodloe was born in South Central Los Angeles, in the city of Compton, California. He attended Centennial High School and was offered full-athletic scholarships from multiple universities around the nation; he selected the University of New Mexico. ​ Goodie was active in student and local government, serving as student regent and student body president in college, as well as a regional coordinator for a national presidential campaign. He served as Co-Coordinator for the National College Voter Registration Day, Co-Founder of the University of New Mexico Gospel Choir, and Co-Founder of the university’s Black History Extravaganza. Goodie was listed in colleges and universities “Who’s Who in America”, was collegiate Academic-All-American, and was a sports broadcaster for Q-13 News (a CBS affiliate). He was a nominee for Albuquerque’s People’s Choice Award, a recipient of the NAACP Gold Medal Award of Merit for outstanding leadership, and he is a graduate of the William and Mary African Leadership Institute. ​ He graduated in 1994 with a dual Bachelor of Arts in Politic
