George Hill (b.1982-) is a contemporary realist painter based in Missoula, Montana. He composes his paintings mostly in the style of portraiture to emote in the viewer a strong sense of reverence for the subject. Blending realism with more contemporary elements in his paintings, he hopes to create a uniquely engaging and emotive experience for his viewers.

Hill’s choice of subject matter is largely influenced by his affinity for wilderness areas and the creatures that reside within them. He is an avid outdoorsman and fly fisherman. Hill spent several years as a young man pursuing large trout with his fly rod in Patagonia, Argentina. These years were profoundly influential for the artist and his work. With each portrayal on canvas, Hill hopes to raise a sense of awareness and importance for these creatures, as their health is indicative of flourishing ecosystems and wilderness spaces.

George Jesse Hill Jr. (born May 4, 1986) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). While playing for Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) he received many honors, including Summit League Player of the Year and was an honorable mention All-American his junior season.

Hill was selected 26th overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2008 NBA draft and would spend three seasons with the team before being traded to the Indiana Pacers in June 2011. He spent five seasons in Indiana and was dealt to the Utah Jazz in July 2016. Hill signed with the Sacramento Kings as a free agent in July 2017, but was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in February 2018. With the Cavaliers, he made his first trip to the NBA Finals. In December 2018, Hill was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. In November 2020, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, but was dealt to the Philadelphia 76ers in March 2021. Biography

Youth

Hill, born in 1892, was the son of a timber merchant with business interests stretching from Siberia to Persia. He was born in Estonia and educated by French and German governesses. He had exceptional linguistic skills, and learned to speak six languages, including Russian.

First World War

Hill was in British Columbia on a fishing trip when the First World War broke out in 1914. He joined a Canadian infantry regiment and was posted to Ypres in 1915. He displayed exceptional bravery and was seriously wounded. He was then sent to the War Office where after training by Scotland Yard^[1] he began his career as an intelligence officer, his first assignment being to fly agents behind enemy lines in Greece.

In 1917, he was sent to Petrograd, ostensibly as a member of the Royal Flying Corps mission, arriving amid the confusion of the Bolshevik Revolution. In his mem
