Ana is the debut studio album by Cuban-American singer Ana, released by Parc Records in 1987. It features her debut single, "Shy Boys", which peaked at No. 94 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 23 on the Billboard Dance Chart. The album was released in Japan by CBS Sony as Shy Boys.[1][2][3]

The album was made available on streaming platforms on January 28, 2022, with eight bonus tracks, including the 1988 stand-alone single "Before I Jump".[4][5]

Chinese-American author

Ana Huang is a Chinese-American[2] author who primarily writes novels in the romance and new adult fiction genres.[1] She is a #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author.[3][4]

Early life

Huang is the daughter of Chinese expats. As a child, Huang mother encouraged her to write stories as a way to practice English as a second language.[5] Later, Huang wrote as a hobby and posted stories on Wattpad.[6]

Huang's first encounter with romance literature was "earlier than I should have”, sneakily picking up "one of those Harlequin mass market paperbacks" while her mom wasn’t looking.[7]

Huang studied international relations in college, and during college, studied abroad in China,[10] as a foreign exchange student in Shanghai.[11]
