Elizabeth LaBau is a pastry chef by training, but she chose to leave the bustling restaurant world in order to share her dessert recipes with a broader audience. She brings her culinary training and years of professional restaurant experience to all of her work, crafting recipes that are creative, fun, modern, and most importantly, aspirational but accessible.
Her award-winning dessert blog, SugarHero, was founded in 2012 and has quickly become a premiere online destination for dessert lovers seeking recipe inspiration and drool-worthy photographs. In just a few short years, SugarHero has received millions of visitors, been named a Best Baking Blog by Bett Elizabeth LaBau is a cookbook author, food photographer, video instructor, and culinary digital media personality. She is the founder of dessert website SugarHero.com. Elizabeth LaBau attended culinary school in Los Angeles, and began her culinary career as a pastry cook, then chef, working in bakeries and restaurants in Southern California. Elizabeth founded the website SugarHero.com in 2011 as a way to share dessert recipes and teach people how to become better bakers. Since then, it has been named a Best Baking Blog by Better Homes & Gardens, and it now receives millions of page views every year. SugarHero provides readers with hundreds of written recipes, photo tutorials, and instructional videos. In 2012 Elizabeth published a candy cookbook called The Sweet Book of Candy Making.
