SNFU is one of the longest running, most popular Canadian punk acts, formed in Edmonton, Alberta in 1981.
The band packed it in 2005 not long after the release of In The Mean Time and In-Between Time. Marc "Muc" Belke went back to school, and the other band members went their own ways rather than try to replace him.
That is, until 2007 when Ken "Mr. Chi Pig" Chinn appeared on stage again fronting a band he was calling "asSNFU" for a small number of shows to celebrate the band's long history.
Allegedly an acronym for Society's No Fucking Use, SNFU initially comprised Chi Pig, the Belkes, bassist Warren Bidlock and drummer Evan "Tadpole" Jones. However, over the next decade the group's rhythm section changed from album to album and tour to tour. As you can see from the list to the left, there are currently 17 people on the SNFU roster that have played at one time or an other with the band.
SNFU's first two releases, 1985's ...And No One Else Wanted to Play and If You Swear, You'll Catch No Fish, were straigh

List of SNFU band members
This is a list of musicians who played in the Canadian punk rock group SNFU.[1][2] The band formed in 1981 in Edmonton, relocated to Vancouver a decade later, and became inactive in 2018. Thirty-one musicians played in the various lineups of SNFU, counting four guest members, with only singer Ken Chinn (credited as 'Mr. Chi Pig') remaining constant. Chinn died in 2020,[3] ending the group. Among twenty-seven official members, these lineups included one singer, six guitarists, ten bassists (twice counting Ken Fleming, who served at different times as the band's bassist and guitarist), and eleven drummers. The lineups also included one guest bassist and three guest drummers.
After Chinn, founding guitarists Marc and Brent Belke served the longest tenures, at 22 and 15 years respectively (not counting the band's inactive time). Bassist Rob Johnson played with the group for nine years, while Fleming and bassist Dave Bacon each spread two stints in the group over nearly eight years. The longest-standing consistent lineu

SNFU
Canadian hardcore punk band
SNFU was a Canadian hardcore punk band formed in Edmonton in 1981, relocated to Vancouver in 1992, and disbanded in 2018. They released eight albums, two live records, and one compilation amid many lineup changes and several temporary breakups. Vocalist Ken Chinn (credited as Mr. Chi Pig) led the group, which included twin-brother guitarists Brent and Marc Belke for much of its career.
With founding drummer Evan C. Jones and early bassist Jimmy Schmitz, SNFU built an international audience through dynamic melodic hardcore punk as evident on their debut, ...And No One Else Wanted to Play (1985).[1] They grew in popularity following the experimental If You Swear, You'll Catch No Fish (1986) with bassist Dave Bacon and drummer Jon Card, and the aggressive Better Than a Stick in the Eye (1988) with bassist Curtis Creager and drummer Ted Simm. They disbanded in 1989, however, due to internal tensions.
SNFU reformed in 1991, beginning with a reunion tour intended as a one-off. Drummer Dave Rees and bassist Rob Johnson ultimately
