His first steps as an actor were in the film “Al-millioneira al-sagheera i.e. Little millionaire” by Henry Barakaat in 1948. Two years later, he travelled to Italy to fulfill his dream of acting in Italian films but did not succeed. He married Sabaah, Taheyya Carioca and Samia Gamaal (actresses) and also married Barbara (American), mother of his only daughter Kesmat. He participated in the international film “Valley of the kings” and produced three films “Serr al-ghaaeb i.e. Secret of the absent”, “Ashour kalb al-assad i.e. Ashour lionheart” and “Tareek al-shaytaan i.e. Devil’s path”. He performed in the TV film “Al-safka i.e. The deal”.
