Biography: Sheikh Hamdan was appointed Crown Prince of Dubai on 1 February 2008.
Born on 14 November 1982, the second son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, ruler of Dubai and vice-president of the UAE, Sheikh Hamdan graduated from the UK’s Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2002 and later attended the London School of Economics in London.
He was appointed chairman of the Dubai Executive Council in September 2006, where he oversees all Dubai government entities and supervises public sector and development strategies in the emirate. A keen horse rider, Sheikh Hamdan won the gold medal in the equestrian event at the Asian Games in Doha in 2006.
In September 2006, Sheikh Hamdan launched -Takamul, an initiative that seeks to integrate people with special needs into mainstream society.

Biography: Following a royal decree in January 2014, Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan will supervise the Expo 2020 Preparatory Committee, which is responsible for drawing up plans and realising the vision for the exhibition.
Along with providing guidelines for security and economics, the committee will supervise international and regional advertising campaigns to promote the event and encourage participation, as well as coordinating public and private efforts. Progress reports will be submitted to his father, Sheikh Mohammed. Sheikh Hamdan was appointed as the chairman of the Dubai Executive Council in 2006 and was named crown prince of Dubai in February 2008.
Like his father, Sheikh Hamdan graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the UK in 2000, before going on to study at the London School of Economics.

SheikhHamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum (Arabic: حمدان بن راشد أل مكتوم, Ḥamdān bin Rāšid Āl Maktūm; 25 December 1945 – 24 March 2021)[3] was an Emirati politician, the deputy ruler of Dubai and the minister of finance and industry of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He was the second son of the late ruler Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum was the head of the UAE's delegation at the International Monetary Fund[4] and the OPEC Fund.
Early life and education
Sheikh Hamdan was born on 25 December 1945.[5] He was the second of four sons of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the Sheikh who led Dubai to unification with the other six emirates to form the UAE.[6]
Sheikh Hamdan's formal schooling began in Dubai. He attended Al Madrasah Al-Ahlia, where he studied mathematics, English, basic sciences, Arabic and Islamic studies. He went on to complete his further studies at the Bell School of Language
