Jascha Richter (born 24 June 1963) is a Danish singer-songwriter best known as the lead vocalist and keyboardist of the Danish pop-soft rock band, Michael Learns to Rock. He has composed and sung most of MLTR's songs. Some of his best known songs include "25 Minutes", "The Actor", "Sleeping Child", "That's Why (You Go Away)", "Complicated Heart", "Someday", "Wild Women", "Out Of The Blue", "Paint My Love" etc.
Richter was born on 24 June 1963. He spent the first year of his life in New Hampshire, USA, before his family decided to move back to Denmark, where they settled in Århus. As a child Richter began to play both flute and cello, then piano. He was raised with classical music, but in his early teenage years he started playing and composing pop music. Growing up he among others listened to Elton John, Supertramp and Bee Gees. Richter is known as the brain behind the Danish pop group Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR for short), that through twenty years have gained worldwide success.

BIOGRAPHY
The story about the Danish band MICHAEL LEARNS TO ROCK is a classic in the world of rock music. It is about four friends meeting in an orchestra, staying together in spite of all their troubles, becoming a success far beyond the Danish frontiers, and who are now, after three albums released and almost three million copies sold, facing the release of their GREATEST HITS album titled 'PAINT MY LOVE'.
In 1987, at a grammar school in the city of �rhus, JASCHA RICHTER (b. 1963) formed a small caf� orchestra which included his sister and the two subsequent Michael musicians, drummer K�RE WANSCHER (b. 1969) and guitarist MIKKEL LENTZ (b. 1968). Although younger than he, they had both listened to rock music at their mother's knees and had been playing with bands for years. Jascha played some of his demos to K�re, and the two of them decided to start a band, based on Jascha's songs. Mikkel was an obvious third, but they could not seem to find a bass player. So K�re asked his old pal, guitarist S�REN MADSEN (b. 1967) to play the bass in the first evening of practice. This
